Up on the Roof

At last, the moment we've all been waiting for (drum roll please Hamlet) ...

Somewhere at the tail end (please let it be the end) of the wettest wet season in - I don't know, 150 years - the roofers came and materialised Phil's idiosyncratic roof.

Much to his relief, it actually worked.

Above: Roofer drills enthusiastically as clouds loom overhead

Above: Looking towards Mt Eerwah from the neighbour's drive - do love that sweeping, twisting studio section!

Above: Close-up of front of house, before addition of ridge-capping and gutters. Bathroom is under the low centre section. (Note tiered scaffolding, which presented its own set of challenges)

Cheers to the boys from Brian's Roofing, who remained unfazed by the non-perpendicular beams.

And cheers to Kylie, Oliver, Amy and Danny, who were the first happy campers (literally) to sleep under it!

Stay tuned for walls ...

Wendy
