Ode to Adelaide Markets

Oh Adelaide Central Markets, how I love thee ...

Saturday morning. The buzz of people, the heady smell of brewing coffee and freshly baked bread, the visual feast of all that beautiful produce. Aisles and aisles.
Better than a gallery. And you can eat the installations.

Neatly stacked salami (including the notorious "firestarter") ... Windows of preserved fruits ...

Ridiculously curvaceous apple pies ... Phil taste tests UAS (Unidentified Asian snack) and subsequently wishes he'd gone for the pie) ...

Mushies ... Miles of olives ...

Bread and cheese to die for ...

Three reasons why we visit Adelaide: family, friends ... and food!

Wendy

Great. Meanwhile, I'm left at home to be babysat by the neighbour. Thanks for nothing.

Hey!

That "UAS (Unidentified Asian snack)" is Japanese snack!

The first two characters on the package are "Matcha" = Green tea, then something in "hiragana" next to it, but I can't really see well from the small picture.

Oh~~~~looks yummy! I want to eat it too!!!
